Description

The Spoon Leaf Sundew (Drosera spathulata) is a compact, hardy carnivorous plant recognizable for its unique spoon-shaped leaves and eye-catching rosettes. This sundew species thrives in bright light, producing vibrant, dew-covered foliage that glistens in sunlight, and is well known for its easy maintenance and prolific growth. It's a fantastic species for the beginner or someone who just wants an easy win. 

Under proper care, which includes a bright sunny location, consistently moist low-mineral soil, and good air circulation, Drosera spathulata can produce numerous delicate pink or white flowers on upright stems throughout the year. There is no requirement for dormancy, and it can rebound from root disturbance or even freezing conditions (though we don't recommend it) The plant’s trapping leaves often blush deeply red in strong light, adding to its ornamental appeal.
