    Spoon Leaf Sundew

The Spoon Leaf Sundew (Drosera spathulata) is a compact, hardy carnivorous plant recognizable for its unique spoon-shaped leaves and eye-catching rosettes. This sundew species thrives in bright light, producing vibrant, dew-covered foliage that glistens in sunlight, and is well known for its easy maintenance and prolific growth. It's a fantastic species for the beginner or someone who just wants an easy win.  Under proper care, which includes a bright sunny location, consistently moist low-mineral soil, and good air circulation, Drosera spathulata can produce numerous delicate pink or white flowers on upright stems throughout the year. There is no requirement for dormancy, and it can rebound from root disturbance or even freezing conditions (though we don't recommend it) The plant’s trapping leaves often blush deeply red in strong light, adding to its ornamental appeal.

    Cape Sundew Typical

The Cape Sundew (Drosera capensis) is a visually striking, carnivorous plant native to the Cape region of South Africa, admired for both its unusual appearance and its insect-catching abilities. Mature plants typically grow 5–6 inches (12–15 cm) tall and wide, forming elegant rosettes of long, narrow leaves radiating from a central point. Each leaf is covered with fine red, tentacle-like glands exuding glistening sticky mucilage, which attracts and traps insects—a clever adaptation for surviving in nutrient-poor, marshy soils. Fast-growing perennial that can live for many years. Leaves are slender, lime green to reddish, and curl around prey for digestion. Inflorescences rise above the foliage with clusters of delicate pink flowers appearing from late spring into autumn. After flowering, tiny black seeds form in capsules, allowing easy propagation

    Cape Sundew 'Alba'

The Cape Sundew (Drosera Capensis) ‘Alba’ is a captivating and easy-to-grow carnivorous plant prized for its ethereal beauty and exceptional bug-catching ability. Unlike typical Cape Sundews, the ‘Alba’ variety features pure white flowers, all-green foliage, and nearly translucent glands with pale pink tips, giving it a delicate, glowing appearance. Elegant, narrow green leaves covered in sticky, glistening dew trap gnats, fruit flies, and other small insects. Lack of red pigment sets ‘Alba’ apart, offering a graceful visual contrast when paired with the red Cape Sundew or other carnivorous plants. Foliage forms a slender, upright stem that may reach 20–30 cm tall in mature plants. White blooms create a delicate stunning display throughout the summer
